MasterShift Paddle Shifter

Remote Shifter - Obsidian is the first ever vintage Mustang to feature F1-style
manual paddle shifters by MasterShift
. MasterShift’s unique design allows you to “stack shifts” by pressing the steering wheel mounted paddle or button several times before depressing the clutch pedal. The manual shifter will move straight to the requested target gear position. This function enables you to preload your shifts, allowing you to shift from 1st gear through 6th with the press of the clutch pedal. Unlike automatic paddle shifters that are typically found in vehicles such as the BMW M3, our manual paddle shifters put you in full control of the transmission and eliminates the need for a floor mounted shifter. This state of the art method of shifting can usually only be found in vehicles such as Ferrari, or Formula 1 race cars, but now it’s available on the Obsidian ISY and ISZ.


Molycarbide Rotors

Molycarbide Rotors - Molycarbide is one of the latest types of break rotor material. Molycarbide is formed from molybdenum and carbon and when combined they create a material that is extremely wear resistant, which results in a high resistance to fade and cooler operation. It is a more durable product and provides a 30% weight loss over standard Mustang rotors. Molycarbide disc brakes are available on all Obsidian models.

WiFi - Utilizing the latest technology in wireless connectivity, you can now check your email, browse the Internet, or download new music all from the comfort of your Obsidian ISZ. Bluetooth technology allows for hands free cellular interaction to assist in keeping your focus on the road.


Electronic Fuel Injection

R-EFI - Retrotek’s all new EFI system incorporates a whole new way of tackling electronic fuel injection in early model Mustangs. Retrotek Speed’s new EMS features Smart Tune Technology (STT) to have Obsidian dialed in to each driver’s individual needs. The self learning computer adjusts to the style of the driver, allowing for more fuel to be injected under hard acceleration. The computer adjusts fuel pressure curves and timing curves on the fly so you have the maximum possible performance from your Mustang. In short, the R-EFI knows how hard you’re about to get on it, the second you begin accelerating and adjusts the engine accordingly.
