Sub-Frame Connector Kit
Fits:
- 1964 1/2 - 1970 Mustang and Cougar
During acceleration and cornering your car's chassis has a tendency
to flex or twist because of the unibody design. Total Control Products
Subframe
connectors strengthen the body and reduce flexing. By welding our Kit
1 to the front and rear subframes we can strengthen the weak portion
of the chassis. The tubular construction of the subframe connectors
resist twisting much better than the flat portion of the under
carriage. This component is available for all models
of Mustang's (Yes, that means convertibles too) from 1964 1/2
through 1970.
For Fastback and Coupe owners they have
their Kit 2 (center brace)
available. This section bolts into the existing Kit 1. We have
designed this section to brace the chassis even more. With their Kit 2
installed you get maximum chassis rigidity without going to the
extreme of a full roll cage, essentially making the front and rear
subframes one piece. A bolt-in center brace gives strength and
rigidity while still allowing access to the exhaust, driveline and
transmission.
0.125" wall tubing with all TIG-welded construction for
superior structural strength. Powder coated for longevity and
aesthetics. May be purchased in two stages.
